If it doesn’t live up to expectations, you can bet that we’ll come back and update this list – but for now, we’re willing to take the gamble that Frosthaven will be fantastic. With a nearly limitless set of scenarios, Frosthaven promises to be the next logical step for fans of the Gloomhaven board game. Set to release in 2021, Frosthaven takes place in a small frozen outpost facing destruction from the elements and far more dangerous monsters.īoasting 16 new characters, 25 new enemies, 100 new scenarios and 100 new items, Frosthaven is more than just an expansion. This isn’t just a board game like Gloomhaven, it’s actually a stand-alone expansion. Dead of Winter and Raxxon (see Plaid Hat. Along with the Plaid Hat name, Dauch will gain publication rights to some of Plaid Hat’s catalog of titles, but a number of lines will continue to be produced under the Asmodee umbrella.
